To Our Visitors

(Looking for directions? Try here.)

Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Welcome to St. John’s Episcopal Church in Saugus! We are glad that you have chosen to visit our website. At St. John’s, we are a Welcoming Episcopal Family Seeking to Grow in Christ through Worship and Service to Others. Let's unpack that a little bit:

Welcoming: Regardless of where you are on your faith journey, you are invited to walk it here in the company of others doing the same.

Episcopal: Existing somewhere betwixt and between Roman Catholic and fully Protestant, St. John’s is part of a rich heritage called Anglicanism.

Family: The people of St. John’s care for and about one another, and the relationships we build here are important ones.

Seeking to Grow in Christ: We don’t have all the answers and none of us are finished products. We are lifelong learners on the Jesus path.

Through Worship: Gathering as a community to offer praise and thanksgiving, find nourishment in the Eucharist, and support one another is the heartbeat of Christ’s Body the Church.

And Service to Others: As part of Christ’s Body the Church, we are the hands and feet of Jesus, called to play our part in God’s plan to heal this broken world.

There are many ways that you can find out more about the St. John’s family than what is provided in this welcome letter. You can find lots of useful information as you explore the rest of the website. And of course you are invited to come for worship and stay afterward for fellowship. We look forward to getting to know you, and for you to get to know us. Whether this is the beginning of a deeper relationship, or the only time that you will visit our website, we are grateful that you are here.

Blessings,

The St. John's Family

"I have much to write to you, but I would rather not write with pen and ink; instead I hope to see you soon, and we will talk together face to face."
